August 26, 2006:  Sorry for the delay! We were experiencing some technical difficulties and were unable to update any sooner!

Bridget had another great competition last weekend in St. Paul, Minnesota! Although she was unable to compete on floor on either day of the meet due to a sprained ankle suffered in Kansas City, she placed in the top four on all three of the other events! She placed fourth on vault with a combined score of 29.850 on her 1 1/2 twisting Yurchenko; Bridget was the highest-placing athlete on the event to compete that vault! Because of her ankle, her and coach Sharp decided not to throw the double-twisting Yurchenko in the meet. She was fourth on bars with a 30.100 and third on beam with a combined total of 29.850.

She was also selected as a member of the USA National Team by Marta Karolyi based on her performances here as one of the "wildcard" gymnasts. Also joining her on the USA National Team are Shawn Johnson (Chow's), Bianca Flohr (CGA), Samantha Peszek (DeVeau's), Rebecca Bross (WOGA), Ivana Hong (GAGE), Corrie Lothrop (Hills), Sarah DeMeo (GAGE), Catherine Nguyen (WOGA), Shantessa Pama (GymMax), Jordyn Wieber (Geddart's), Cassie Whitcomb (CGA), Rachel Updike (GAGE), and Samantha Shapiro (All Olympia).

For full results visit the official USAG Event page. Pictures and videos will be added shortly!

August 11, 2006:  Bridget will be competing next week at her second USA National Championships in St. Paul, Minnesota! She will begin Thursday's preliminary competition on vault (7th up) and Saturday's finals on bars (2nd up)! Also competing in her rotation will be Katelyn Mohr (Byers), Shantessa Pama (Gym Max), Hannah Toussaint (Olympic Dreams), Olivia Courtney (Capital), Shawn Johnson (Chow's), Kimberly Jacob (Gymcarolina), and Ashley Stott (SCEGA).

In order to make her second National Team, Bridget must finish in the top 12. A four-person team will also be selected at Nationals for the upcoming Junior PanAm Games in Canada.

For quick hits, results, and photos of the meet, be sure to visit USA Gymnastics, International Gymnast, or Inside Gymnastics! There will be no updates to the website until after the competition is over. Good luck Bridget!!

July 31, 2006:  A new interview has been posted with Bridget on USAG, be sure to read it!

July 30, 2006:  Bridget and her coach were planning to compete in the U.S. Classic but some small injuries occurred during training and they decided to rest up before Nationals.

July 24, 2006: Bridget will be competing this weekend in Kansas City, Missouri, at the U.S. Classic. There are two sessions of juniors because there are nearly 60 gymnasts competing this year! She is competing in session 2 and will be starting on floor (check out the full competition draw) at 1PM. Junior session 1 starts at 10:30AM and the Senior session starts at 7 PM. If you live in the area, tickets are only $36 for an all-day pass. For more information, visit the US Classic's website.

In order to qualify to Nationals, juniors must either score a 53.000 at the Classic or an international assignment. Bridget scored better than that at the Gymnix International so this meet is just for experience and to show off some new skills! Good luck Bridget!

June 23, 2006: Today Bridget turns 14 :) Happy Birthday Bridget!!
