Hey Everybody!
Well, summer is coming to an end, actually summer has already ended for some
people here in Florida. It is crazy how early people have to go back to
school! I am so sorry that I have not been able to write an entry in a
while. There have been so many things going on this summer.
In the beginning of summer I attended my freshman orientation
at the University of Alabama. That was very exciting! I got all of my classes
and I was able to stay with the new incoming freshman and see many of the
upperclassman as well. Then in the beginning of July my family and I went on a
week Disney cruise that went to Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Castaway
Cay, which is Disney's private island. That was an amazing vacation. We
actually went on the boat with some friends that we know from Michigan, so that
was nice. In Key West we went parasailing which I have never done before
and man that was fun!!! It is like you are floating in the air. Then
in Grand Cayman we went snorkeling with the StingRays. They look so evil
and they are slimy. That was definitely my extent of going into the ocean. I
don't like being around fish and stuff, but it was a good experience! In Cozumel
my mom and I went shopping while my little sister and my dad did this thing
called Sea Trek where you put this big helmet on and then walk on the ocean
floor. They had a blast with that!!! We had a day at sea on Thursday and
we got a special surprise. They had a movie premiere of Pirates and the
Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest at 12:01 am I was so excited to be able
to see that movie. Then on Castaway Cay we hung out at the beach and I worked on
my tan, haha.
Then we got home and it was back to normal life... definitely
hard to do after being on vacation! But, I have been back now for a while and
everything is going great. Training is going amazing and I am working hard
for Championships. I am getting stronger day by day. And tomorrow is my birthday
so I am very excited about that. I am going to be 17!! YAH! Well, I
hope that the rest of the summer is good for all of you.
