January 27, 2007 - The Tide got back to its winning ways this weekend by defeating Auburn in Tuscaloosa, 194.475 to 195.900. Kassi posted her highest vault score of the season thus far to open the meet (9.925, 2nd) and continued with the season-best numbers on bars (9.925, 1st) and floor (9.925, 3rd). She also put up a 9.800 (7th) on beam for a total of 39.575 and 1st place AGAIN! This means that Kassi has won her first three NCAA meets and also has put up a 9.900 or higher on three events. Congratulations Kassi and ROLL TIDE, ROLL!

This was also the team's "Pretty in Pink" meet to support breast cancer awareness. The 15,075 sold out crowd all wore pink and the proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Fund. The meet will be broadcast on ESPN2 on Tuesday February 13th at 2:30 PM EST / 1:30 PM CST.

January 20, 2007 - This weekend Kassi once again claimed the all-around title in Gainesville, Florida, as the Tide took on the Gators. Unfortunately the Tide couldn't but up a higher team score and lost 195.650 to 196.825. Kassi put up a 9.850 (4th) on vault, a 9.850 (4th) on bars, a 9.875 (2nd) on beam, and a 9.875 (6th) on floor for a total of

January 13, 2007 - Kassi began her first meet as a member of the Crimson Tide in style by scoring a 9.850 (1st) on the vault and later went on to score a 9.875 (2nd) on bars, a 9.750 on beam, and a 9.900 (2nd) on floor for an all-around total of 39.375. This was good enough for first place over all the other competitors! Bama also outscored Oklahoma 195.700 to 194.500. ROLL TIDE!

January 12, 2007 - Kassi will begin her first meet as an NCAA gymnast tonight in Tuscaloosa as the Crimson Tide takes on the Oklahoma Sooners! The meet begins at 8:30 EST / 7:30 CST and you can follow all the action by visiting the GymTide's Meet Central. As of right now, Kassi is slotted to compete on all four events and will be showing a lot of difficulty, including a Yurchenko 1 1/2, toe-on 1/1 to Hindorff, double pike off beam, and a floor exercise with a piked full-in, triple twist, and front through to a double pike. Those are huge skills for a NCAA gymnast!

She has had a busy first semester with balancing training and a heavy course load including biology, math, computer science, and English. The team also hosted its annual Christmas party for a local children's disability center, RISE. For the spring semester, she'll have to try to keep up her amazing grades, compete for four months, and take economics, legal studies, English 2, math, and art history! Photos from the fall semester will be up shortly. Until then... ROLL TIDE, ROLL!

Her beam shoe snapped during the fall and she earned the respect of the crowd when she kicked it off before dismounting! With both days of competition combined, Kassi finished 7th in the all around with a total of 116.900 (58.050 / 58.850) and earned bronze medals on vault (29.175) and bars (31.350)!

Hey everyone! Well I just finished up the Pacific Alliance Selection Camp. I did pretty good, couple mistakes here and there but not too bad. Unfortunately I wasn't selected for the Pacific Alliance team, but I was assigned a trip to a World Cup meet in Moscow, Russia.

I am very excited about that since I have never been to Russia. It seems like such a pretty country. I am going to Russia with Natasha Kelley and Kayla Hoffman. It should be a really fun trip. Well, I just wanted to update you guys with everything and I hope that everything is well.
