Gymnastics can be very difficult to understand these days, with scores above 10.00 and a brand new set of rules. Here we will attempt to break everything down for you and hopefully make it all a little bit clearer!

Under the new Code of Points, the final score is calculated by adding the A Score and the B Score. The A Score is the total value of the ten hardest skills performed, connection bonus, and points earned for fulfilling special requirements. Skills are ranked in order of increasing difficulty from A-G, "A" skills get .1, "B" skills get .2, and so on. Bars, beam, and floor each have five specific requirements and each one is worth .500. The B Score starts from a 10.000 and deductions for composition and execution are subtracted. For more information on the Code of Points, visit GymnStands!
