November 19, 2005 - A few new drawings have been added to the fan section! Tessa would also like to send her best wishes to the US World Team (Nastia Liukin, Chellsie Memmel, Jana Bieger, Alicia Sacramone) who will be competing later this week in Australia. GO USA!

September 24, 2005 - Shantessa and the rest of her US teammates had a great competition in Cancun, Mexico! The team easily took first place with a total of 109.605; Mexico had a 101.675 and Canada was third with a 100.855. Shantessa finished third in the all-around (35.875) behind teammates Sam Peszek (36.655) and Monica Shoji (36.555). She scored a 9.025 on vault, 9.150 on bars, 8.550 on beam, and a 9.150 on floor.

Tessa qualified to two event finals, vault and bars, where she finished 6th (8.604) and 1st (9.184) respectively! Sam won vault and floor and Monica won beam. Morgan Evans was 4th in the all-around and second on beam. Congratulations Team USA!

August 28, 2005 - Shantessa has been given another exciting international assignment! Along with Morgan Evans, Samantha Peszek, and Monica Shoji, she will be competing in the Mexico International. The meet will take place September 21st through the 25th.

August 14, 2005 - Tessa had an AWESOME meet this week! After hitting all eight of her routines, she finished fifth in the all-around with a combined total of 72.346! She was 6th after day one (36.048) after scoring a 9.216 on vault and bars, 8.933 on beam, and an 8.683 on floor. On day two she had nearly an identical performance but improved her scores on all but beam; Tessa scored a 9.266 on vault, 9.333 on bars, 8.816 on beam, and an 8.883 on floor for a day two total of 36.298. By placing in the top 16, Tessa made her second Junior National Team! The other members are Natasha Kelley, Bianca Flohr, Shayla Worley, Monica Shoji, Morgan Evans, Samantha Peszek, Ivana Hong, Cortni Beers, Shawn Johnson, Makayla Stambaugh, Sarah DeMeo, Amber Trani, Bridget Sloan, Randy Stageburg, and Rebecca Bross.

With all the scores combined, Tessa ended up placing 6th on vault (18.482), 2nd on bars (18.549), 10th on beam (17.749), and 8th on floor (17.566). Click here for full event finals results.

August 9, 2005 - Tessa will be competing in her second U.S. National Championships this week! Prelims will be held at 1PM on August 11th and the all-around will be at 1PM on August 13th! Event finals will be determined by adding both days of competition together. The meet will be held in the Conseco Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana! Tessa will be competing for a spot on the National Team - the top 16 gymnasts qualify.

The senior meet will also be televised on NBC! Prelims will be broadcasted on August 13th at 8PM EST and finals will be on August 14th at 7PM EST. Please be sure to check your local listings!

July 30, 2005 - Pictures from 2004 and 2005 U.S. Classic are up!

July 25, 2005 - Shantessa finished 10th at the U.S. Classic with a score of 34.616! She easily qualified to U.S. Nationals. For complete results, coverage, and photos, visit the following websites: Excalibur, Inside Gymnastics, Total Gymnast.

She did her new bar routine for the first time in competition (jam + Jaeger, jam + German giant + Tkatchev, shootover + stalder + toe shoot) and nailed her dismount to score a 9.333 for 3rd place! On beam she sat down her double pike dismount to score an 8.183 but landed all of her tumbling passes well on floor for an 8.500 and 10th place on that event. She finished her meet on vault where she unfortunately sat down her new Yurchenko 1 1/2 and scored an 8.600.

June 11, 2005 - Tessa has graduated from 8th grade and is now on her way to becoming a high school student at Dana Hills High School! She recently had her 8th grade dance and took pictures with her best friends, you can see them in the photo gallery.
